Situation
When I joined the project, the design files had grown chaotic over time: duplicated elements, inconsistent spacing, mismatched styles, and legacy components from multiple designers. The team was preparing to update the product’s visuals, but the lack of a unified system made it difficult to maintain consistency or scale the design.
Task
My task was to bring order to the existing layouts, translate the project into a new visual system, and create a clear, maintainable UI kit that would help designers and developers work faster and keep the product visually consistent.
Action

• Audited all existing screens and identified repeating elements and inconsistencies.
• Refactored layouts using unified grids, corrected typography, spacing, and token usage.
• Rebuilt old components into new master components with proper auto-layouts and variants.
• Consolidated scattered elements into a structured UI kit with clear naming rules.
• Removed duplicates and outdated assets, reducing the total component set.
• Ensured full alignment with the new UI guide and visual system.
• Documented component usage and organized the Figma file structure for easier team onboarding.

Results

• Delivered an organized UI kit that simplified assembly of new screens.

Situation:
A children’s YouTube channel needed consistent covers and animated intros for regular episodes, all based on the style developed by the lead designer.
Task:
Produce covers and short animated intro sequences that matched the existing visual style and could be delivered quickly for recurring content.
Action:
Followed the established design guidelines, created static covers in the required style, and built animated intros in After Effects. Optimized the workflow to speed up preparation for each new episode.
Result:
Delivered consistent cover designs and fast-turnaround animated intros, maintaining the channel’s visual identity and supporting regular content production.

Situation:
The online media “Context Europe” published daily news videos and needed fast, visually consistent YouTube thumbnails in the style developed by the lead designer.
Task:
Create daily thumbnails that matched the evolving visual style and could be produced quickly, despite not knowing the news topic in advance.
Action:
Worked within the established design system and refined it together with the lead designer. Selected recognizable images for each news story on short notice, assembled quick photo-collages, and adapted the layout to maintain consistency across episodes.
Result:
Delivered fast-turnaround, style-consistent thumbnails for daily releases, helping the channel keep a professional and recognizable visual identity under tight deadlines.
